Not Above Advice

I was reading this morning in the Story of Redemption about Moses receiving advice from his father-in-law (about setting judges over the people to ease his work load). Ellen White mentioned that even though God had greatly exalted Moses and put him as leader over Israel, this did not make him above advice from his father-in-law. Even though Moses had been a prince in Egypt, was the leader over all Israel and had been greatly exalted by God, he didn't think that he was above advice. He gladly took the advice of his father and put it into practice.

This shows that we should never immediately turn away from advice (if it isn't plainly wrong), especially from our parents; the Lord might be trying to tell us something.
