During almost 25 years the study of prophecy was my main focus, until the truth of the Father and the Son was presented to me again, just a little over a year and a half ago. I have not given up searching the prophecies, but I realized I did not know the main Characters in them at all. Since that time, my desire to truly know the Father and the Son, to be closer, to understand more and more who they are, keeps me returning to the Maranatha Media site.
I’m reading and studying Identity Wars again, this time with a friend, and it’s making sense to her. To truly understand the concept of the kingdom of the Father is an awesome thing. To tap into the love of the father’s heart, and how our worth is based solely on the fact that we are his beloved children has been a new revelation to me, because I thrived for “notoriety” and “recognition”, and the things of this world.
It is a new revelation to my friend who has lived her life surrounding herself with “things” that made her feel happy, important, and worth something. I had no idea that I had been living so long in the kingdom of worthlessness, the kingdom of achievements, accomplishments, and performance to honor “self”, and that so many other people around me were in the same situation.
As I share with my friend, it’s easy to see that the whole thing is amazing to her, and I can see a light of understanding dancing in her eyes as they get teary at times during our studies. Sadly as it is, as I understand more and more the difference between the two kingdoms, I can also see how easy it is to switch back and forth between them.
In response to Elijah's question (1 Kings 18: 21), How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him, I want to fall on my face and cry out, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God”. And in response to his call “come near unto me”, oh, yes, I want to come nearer to the altar, and behold the sacrifice of the Father’s only begotten Son and exclaim:
“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing”. And while I’m there, prayerfully every hour of the day, my teary eyes can see over yonder, down by the crystal sea, and catch a glimpse of that fast approaching day. Yes, that day when “every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them”, will join in saying, “Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever”. Rev 5:13
Please pray that neither my friend nor I, (we are so new at all this) not even remotely desire to continue switching from one side to the other. We want to be loyal to the only One God and His Son Jesus Christ, but we need the grace and power and strength of the Son to do it, for without Him, we can do nothing.
