Frighteningly Amazing!

I have just been browsing through some material on the prophecies in Daniel, and one statement struck me as frighteningly amazing.

It is an undisputed understanding in Adventist interpretation of Prophecy regarding the 1260 days spoken of by Daniel in Chapter 7.

Dan 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Dan 7:20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

Dan 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Here is the amazing thing:

The reckoning of the 1260 days in this Prophecy is indisputably counted from 538 to 1798. This was also held widely by all Protestants and Reformers. All concluded that this horn was the Papacy which obtained its power when it uprooted the three Arian powers in 538, according to prophecy. This is in all Adventist literature. That counting brings the 1260 days to 1798, when the Pope was taken prisoner by General Berthier. Not one disputes this, thus fully affirming that the power of this horn power rests in the Trinity doctrine.

Now what is amazing is this:

Everyone knows that the Arian powers were overcome for no other reason but religious; to establish the Trinitarian supremacy. The Trinity doctrine is then the basis of the power of this horn. Rome proudly states it. “The Mystery of the Trinity is the central doctrine of Catholic Faith. Upon it are built all the other doctrines of the Church”

Everyone recognizes that this horn power is contrary to the kingdom of God. That he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Everyone knows that God shall destroy it unto the end.

Yet in spite all of this, this Adventist Church, foremost in the knowledge of this Prophecy; knowing all this, has adopted the Trinity doctrine; the basis of the power of this horn, for its own. Thus heaping such great condemnation upon themselves, which they teach shall befall this horn. For now they testify that they are based upon the same power and are of the same power as this horn.

Frighteningly Amazing!

How can someone hold something as truth which they themselves profess that God condemned? Such incredible deception!

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
