God Really is MY Father!

Last week, while I was pondering the SS lesson on the Trinity, the thought came to me regarding Prov. 8:22-30. In it, it says clearly that Christ was "brought forth." Just why this triggered my mind I'm not sure, but it did. I was curious, and looked up in Matt. 1, and I believe that it was verse 25, and, yes, it said there as well that Mary "brought forth" her first-born son. It was very interesting to me to see that it was the same words used in the Old and New Testaments. The God of the Old IS the same God of the New Testament! I am so glad for that fact.

Another thing I've come to understand more clearly is that, for years now, I've been referring to God as "my Father." I'd started using this for a few reasons, namely finding that it's the least offensive to most people. I didn't realize it at that time the full truth of God being THE Father. Now, He really is MY Father, and I'm so blessed! Finding the truth of the Godhead has been a real blessing to me.

Sitting in Sabbath School this past Sabbath was quite appalling to me. So many errors were being flown around as if they were truths, but no Scriptures were being quoted to back up their thoughts. The Bible is so simple that a child may read it and understand it, yet it is so deep that we will be learning throughout Eternity.
