Be ye Prepared, Be not troubled

Dear brethren,

We live in a world that deception is highly ranked and often unforeseen. About us are all forms of agencies unseen to the Human eye. If we had not the grace of God shielding us from the darkness that surrounds us, we would but perish under the cruel hand of the arch deceiver. Through diverse mediums and strange channels, Satan is fast approaching his mysterious designs.

It is easy to get caught up and deceived into the occult of his trechery, but brethren we need not fear the defeated. He is a defeated foe and his judgement has been set. Our duty is to share the light of God’s Love to the Wolrd and to allow Jesus to live in our hearts, by faith in his Word. May we cling to the promises that the Lord has given to us and continue to share it with each other and to those who do not know the truth as it is in Jesus.

Before displaying the following quotes regarding the plans and manifestations of the arch deceiver and his rebels, be ye comforted by our Lord. “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”

Therefore when reading these quotes from the Lord’s messenger, read them without fear, and know that the Lord is with us always and forever. If we stay connected to the Vine, nothing will be able to touch us, which God has not permitted.

It can be fearful knowing that we live in the midst of spiritualism and the deceptions that are longing to captivate the mind, but perfect Love cast out all fear, and by beholding we become changed. If we behold the Lovely Jesus, and keep his word in our hearts, then the house will not be left desolate, and the devil, along with his seven other spirits will fail to occupy the soul.

“Satan is working through agencies that you little suspect.” 19MR 66.1.

“Satan and his angels will appear on this earth as men, and will mingle with those of whom God's Word says, "Some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." (1 Timothy 4:1.) Letter 147, 1903.

“The enemy works untiringly to deceive human beings, and lead them away from God. He and his angels will in the future assume the shape of human beings, and work to make the truth of God of no effect.” Spalding and Magan Collection, p. 307.

“In this time evil angels in the form of men will talk with those who know the truth. They will misinterpret and misconstrue the statements of the messengers of God. … Have Seventh-day Adventists forgotten the warning given in the sixth chapter of Ephesians? We are engaged in a warfare against the hosts of darkness. Unless we follow our Leader closely, Satan will obtain the victory over us.” RH, August 11, 1903.

“Satanic agencies in human form will take part in this last great conflict to oppose the building up of the kingdom of God. And heavenly angels in human guise will be on the field of action. The two opposing parties will continue to exist till the closing up of the last great chapter in this world's history”. RH August  5, 1909.

“Satan brings all his powers to the assault in the last, close conflict, and the endurance of the follower of Christ is taxed to the utmost. At times it seems that he must yield. But a word of prayer to the Lord Jesus goes like an arrow to the throne of God, and angels of God are sent to the field of battle. The tide is turned.” HP 297.

“I have been shown that evil angels in the form of believers will work in our ranks to bring in a strong spirit of unbelief. Let not even this discourage you, but bring a true heart to the help of the Lord against the powers of satanic agencies. These powers of evil will assemble in our meetings, not to receive a blessing, but to counterwork the influences of the Spirit of God. Take up no remark that they may make, but repeat the rich promises of God, which are yea and amen in Christ Jesus. We are never to catch up the words that human lips may speak to confirm the evil angels in their work, but we should repeat the words of Christ. Christ was the Instructor in the assemblies of these angels before they fell from their high estate.” Letter 46, 1909.

“Satan will use every opportunity to seduce men from their allegiance to God. He and the angels who fell with him will appear on the earth as men, seeking to deceive. God's angels, also, will appear as men, and will use every means in their power to defeat the purposes of the enemy. We, too, have a part to act. We shall surely be overcome unless we fight manfully the battles of the Lord.” 8MR 399.

“It is time now that every soul who has a knowledge of present truth come into line and renew his consecration to God. We are to come up to a much higher standard. When there come into our meetings strange spirits, let us not, whatever may be their testimony, repeat their words, but let us repeat the encouraging words that the Lord has given to us. Let us make His word our strong testimony. We are to learn to lean upon His sure promise, and be ready to communicate our encouragement to others. Let us take hold of the mighty assurances that God has given us in Christ and in His Word, and endeavor daily to carry on the work that the Redeemer undertook in behalf of humanity. In the life and death of Christ we can see what sacrifice heaven was willing to make that we might not perish but have everlasting life”. 19MR 64.1.

“I call upon those to whom God has entrusted his work not to link their arms in the arm of Satan. Do not allow him to make a confidant of you. Keep away from his specious devices. We have great and solemn truths to give to the world, and they are to be proclaimed in no hesitating, limping style. The trumpet is to give a certain sound. Some will come to hear the strange message out of curiosity; others, with a longing to receive true knowledge, asking the question, "What shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"

“Thus men came to Christ. And mingling with his hearers were angels in the form of men, making their suggestions, criticizing, misapplying, and misinterpreting the Saviour's words.” RH, August 11, 1903 par. 10-11.

May the SOP be an encouragement to those who read this message, that we have an open door to go through. We have a way to walk by. We have a truth to hold on to and share. All the more, it points to the man, The Lord Jesus Christ.
