Calvary's Light streaming from Moses' Face

I cam across this quote this morning and it made me smile from top to bottom

By this brightness God designed to impress upon Israel the sacred, exalted character of His law, and the glory of the gospel revealed through Christ. While Moses was in the mount, God presented to him, not only the tables of the law, but also the plan of salvation. He saw that the sacrifice of Christ was pre-figured by all the types and symbols of the Jewish age; and it was the heavenly light streaming from Calvary, no less than the glory of the law of God, that shed such a radiance upon the face of Moses. That divine illumination symbolized the glory of the dispensation of which Moses was the visible mediator, a representative of the one true Intercessor. {PP 330.2}

If the light of Calvary shone from Moses face as it is clearly stated, then law and grace were manifesting in the face of Moses. The glorious work of the law had brought Moses to His Saviour and in the cross of Calvary, Moses have found grace, pardoning grace from our Saviour. Christ alone is the light of this world and the light that shone from Moses'face was the heavenly light from Christ.

Ellen White clearly shows that moses was a visible channel to the invisible heavenly mediator - the only mediator between God and man. How precious is the everlasting gospel. The light of Calvary shown from the face of Moses.

So when the Israelities could not look at him, they could not behold the light of the cross in his face. Through Moses Christ cam unto His own and His own received him not. John 1:11

So too in 1888, Christ came to the Advent people through the message of Waggoner and Jones. They presented an everlasting gospel that showed the gospel clearly preached from Mt Sinai and magnified and glorified in the cross. The church 120 years ago veiled the message and hid from it.

How will we treat this message today? Which gospel will be believe? 

The law entered that sin might abound, but where sin abounds, grace does much more abound. Rom 5:20. Want more grace? You need more conviction of sin through the law. For when the Spirit of truth comes, He convicts the world of sin then righteousness and Judgement.
