Nothing Too Small

"Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice. There is no chapter in our experience too dark for Him to read; there is no perplexity too difficult for Him to unravel. No calamity can befall the least of His children, no anxiety harass the soul, no joy cheer, no sincere prayer escape the lips, of which our heavenly Father is unobservant, or in which He takes no immediate interest. "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." Psalm 147:3. The relations between God and each soul are as distinct and full as though there were not another soul upon the earth to share His watchcare, not another soul for whom He gave His beloved Son." "Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice."
We had evidence of this during the last week. We needed to replace our fridge (that kept freezing everything). We looked on ebay, and the exact fridge we were looking for was listed, and it was within driving distance to pick up. It was only 2 years old, but listed with a starting bid more than $100 less than half the price of a new one. This one must be for us. We wanted to do our bidding in the last minutes to get a good deal. The auction process was to finish about half an hour after sunset Sabbath night.
After a lovely Sabbath rest, we were happily doing things in the kitchen, when Adrian suddenly had a thought.."oh, the fridge on ebay". I quickly went to the computer and pulled up ebay - it had 4 minutes to go on the auction. We put our bid in and had no challenge to it - so we were able to purchase the fridge for less than half price of a new one!!
Praise God - we were so happy after the Sabbath, that had completely forgotten about the fridge and by the time we would have remembered it would have been too late. But God had not forgotten, it was not too small a matter for Him to notice - so He reminded us.
Praise Him for the evidence of His love and watchcare over us.
