Open Heart Report

I have never been more excited about my God, my religion, my salvation in general. I was thinking this morning that I haven’t written in awhile and wondered “what would folks like to hear” but all I could think of is praise. How wonderful it is to know our Savior, I have been reading Early Writings and it has been such a joy to read, I sit slack-jawed as I flip page after page of the close encounters Sis White had with Jesus and all I can say is ”I WANT THAT”, how intimate a relationship, such sweet moments together, truly beautiful. After reading but a few pages, I just want to start praising Him, for I know that He wants a relationship like this for each and everyone of us. I feel like I’m reading the letters of a pen-pal who I will meet shortly and every passing day I grow more and more giddy with excitement.
So I don’t have any great finds or eye opening revelations, just a desire to give my all to the one who gave His all for me. I’ll do my best remember each day to give God what He truly worth of, my continual praise. Don’t get me wrong, times do get tough, (keep living they’ll get tougher), but He is a promise, He is more than a hope for me, He is my light at the end of the tunnel, my ray of sun on a dark day, my cool breeze at the noon-day. He never promised that our way would be one of gummy-bears and lemon drops (haha) But He did promise to up hold us in every one of our situations. I began to realize that most of the time God never answers my prayers or solve my problems the way I think He should, but it builds my faith to look back and see His hand leading, protecting and helping me all along the way. I have learned not to be rash when it appears not to be going my way but to just hold on and rest assured that He will make a way out of no way. So for this and many more, to you, my God, I offer my humble praise. In the words of David…
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. 3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. 4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. 5 They looked unto him, and were lightenedb: and their faces were not ashamed. 6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. 8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psalms 34:1-8 Amen
