Praise Point

Upon this Sabbath morning my heart is filled with thanks and joy

Psa 105:1-2 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. (2) Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

I thank my heavenly Father for the grace and strength to conduct over 60 meetings in 6 countries in just over 10 weeks. Apart from many meetings and conversations with many people there is also the ongoing need to respond to email, skype and facebook messages which I seek to do as faithfully as I can. There were a few times in the trip that my body felt I could not go on and that I must stop. While in France, I was feeling quite unwell and felt Satan seeking to discourage me. With prayer and the wonderful support of my beloved traveling companion Igor, I determined to speak faith and trust that grace would be give. Our Father gave me strength to speak even though i was drained at the close of the meetings.

In Serbia, I thoughtlessly brushed my teeth with the water from the tap. I soon was getting regular exercise running to the toilet. Within a few days I was quite weak and could not eat much. Yet I found strength in my Father's promises. I could desire that not one negative word escaped my lips yet despite this failure, God was gracious to me and the work advances.

I distinctly remember my body wrestling with something in Germany. I was very tired and dragged my body to the meeting wondering how I could speak but I determined to do my duty before our Father and trust him. A few could see I was exhausted but then when I began to speak I felt power come into my body and a freedom to speak and invite people forward to receive the words of our Father "You are my beloved child through Christ Jesus" - What sweet comfort as I recall our Father's help and giving me courage and strength and the continual support of Igor and my dear friends who support us with their prayers and love in the gospel.

I bless you Father for your kindness and love to me and for my precious friends who love the truth. May all God's people praise you and honour you this Sabbath and give thanks for your tender care for your children.
