Request to the Prime Minister of Australia

Posted Mar 25, 2020 by Adrian Ebens in Statutes and Judgements

The following letter has been sent to the Prime Minister with a request to allow us to gather for Passover this year. We are promised protection from Pestilence if we keep this feast of the Lord. Please pray that our prayer will be heard and let us pray for the Prime Minister during this time of difficulty for our nation and the world. - Adrian Ebens

The Honourable Scott Morrison
Prime Minister of Australia

Dear Prime Minister Morrison

We wish to thank you for the measures you are taking to safeguard our families and communities. Our prayers are with you and our communities as you make decisions in the best interest of everyone involved.

In the month of April of this year, our Bible study group has planned to meet together for the Feast of the Passover and Unleavened bread which this year will occur from the evening of April 7 until the evening of April 15.

We take note the present measures issued by the Federal government will make it impossible for us to meet together for this feast. We do not desire to act contrary to the advice of the government. We uphold all government leaders in our prayers and desire our Father to bless you in caring for our state and our nation.

We are submitting to you our request for the men amongst our group to be able to meet together for the Feast of Passover to pray for our families and our nation for this coronavirus to be stopped. We are a community of about 40-50 people locally connected to several other groups around the world. Please see fatheroflove.info and maranathamedia.com for more details. We are only seeking for between 10-20 men to participate. We will seek to implement social distancing measures and cleaning protocols previously advised. We will not allow any to come who are sick or have the flu. We will not eat together in the normal manner nor share kitchen facilities.

We believe with certainty that if you grant us permission to hold this feast to our Father in heaven that our state of Queensland will benefit and the plague of coronavirus will be prevented from continuing its deadly work. We believe this because of the following verse of Scripture.

Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.' " And Pharaoh said, "Who is the LORD, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, nor will I let Israel go." So they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please, let us go three days' journey into the desert and sacrifice to the LORD our God, lest He fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword." Exodus 5:1-3

We believe that our keeping of the Feast of Passover brings to us the Spirit of rest found in Jesus Christ. Matthew 11:28-29.

The reason that we must meet together rather than simply online is because of the following verses.

You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread (you shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt; none shall appear before Me empty); and the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors which you have sown in the field; and the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you have gathered in the fruit of your labors from the field. "Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD.  Exodus 23:15-17

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Hebrew 10:24-27

It is not God who brings upon us this pestilence but Satan the destroyer. We are told clearly:

…and said, "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you." Exodus 15:26

Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. (1 Cor 10:8-11)

We therefore request permission to hold our Feast of Passover at 24 Francesca St From April 7 till April 15 with between 10-20 men. We would normally have our entire group with us but only the men are required and we want to comply as much as possible with all other guidelines from the government. We do not request the position of President Trump for “packed churches during Easter” as we want to do our part to minimise the risks of gatherings.

We know you are a man of faith and we are thankful for this. We believe that you understand the spiritual dimension related to this issue and believe God who overrules all things has placed you here for such a time as this.

We are not demanding our rights as the guidelines of the government are not aimed at restricting religious freedom but protecting the community. We do believe in granting our request that the entire country will benefit in reduced deaths and suffering for our community. The lessons of Moses speak to us today.

If we are not able to do this then we feel it our duty to alert you that there is a greater risk for pestilence and potentially sword (civil unrest) to fall upon our community and nation which we do not wish to happen. Our prayers are for you and for all our leaders.

Thank you for your consideration of our request.
