The Church

As time goes on some of you may feel isolated because of your stand upon the begotten Son of God. I would like to share how the word comforted me.

The following is written from bible verses in this order with only a few joining words italicised between texts to help the flow of thought and make it read like a story.

May the scattered remnant of Israel be blessed.

(Heb 12:23) (Heb 1:5-6)  (Joh 3:16) (Mat 16:15-18) (Mat 7:25) (Mar 12:10) (1Co 3:11)

(Eph 2:20) (1Pe 2:4-6) (Joh 16:27) (1Pe 2:7-10)

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, For to which of the angels said he at any time, You are my Son, this day have I begotten you?

And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he brings in the first-begotten into the world, he said, And let all the angels of God worship him.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

(There was a time when Jesus said to his disciples), But whom say you that I am?

And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father which is in heaven.

And I say also to you, That you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell not: for it was founded on a rock.

Have you not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

(His church is) built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

To whom coming, as to a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Why also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be confounded.

For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

To you therefore which believe he is precious: but to them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, and a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
