Have you ever been in a situation where you have shared bible truth with someone and a dialog has ensued which gave you such clarity you got goose bumps????

This happened to me a couple of years ago. I was on a mountain top with my brother Adrian Ebens and in the cool of the Sabbath afternoon we went on a walk. As we walked, Adrian shared his thoughts on the role of Christ in the God head. As he spoke, beams of light seemed to illumine my mind. A vague picture was beginning to crystalize.

Up until this time I had a typical trinitarian perspective and questions such as why satan was jealous of Christ in the beginning  and why did John3:16 have no power in my life????

If Jesus was identical in performance to the Father, then why was lucifer jealous of Christ's ascension in the heavenly kingdom? This question was answered as I understood that two covering cherubs stood over the mercy seat.. in the throne room of God. One was Lucifer and the other was Michael.... When the Father bestowed His inheritance upon His SON, Lucifer's pride was injured (Ezekiel 28:13-18). Christ was exhalted and Lucifer was not (although he was exhalted above all other creation.... go figure!!!)

The power of John3:16..... i'm sorry for being so simple minded but this verse caused me much stress as people would tell me about the love of the Father in sending his son and in the same study explain how they did not differ in any way. If the 'actor' playing the Father loved the world so much that he gave the 'actor' called the son so that whoever believed in him/them should not perish but have eternal life.

I compare this with a real Father offering up His real son....(the one from whom he had never been separated since they were together) because He loved you and me SO much.... is it just me or does the first version of John3:16 have absolutely no power upon the mind at all?????

Another reference comes to mind as I am sharing my thoughts. Matt3:17 brings out the blessing of our heavenly Father upon His Son Jesus Christ "this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased" and the pen of inspiration says

 " Of the vast throng at the Jordan, few except John discerned the heavenly vision. Yet the solemnity of the divine Presence rested upon the assembly. The people stood silently gazing upon Christ. His form was bathed in the light that ever surrounds the throne of God. His upturned face was glorified as they had never before seen the face of man. From the open heavens a voice was heard saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."  {DA 112.2}

     These words of confirmation were given to inspire faith in those who witnessed the scene, and to strengthen the Saviour for His mission."

 How could Christ possibly have drawn strength from these words if He were merely playing the part of the son of God. It was the connection between father and Son which made the blessing real.

My Shekels are falling!!!! the mind is freed when we behold truth and follow it. I have yet a long way to go.

Father, please continue to reveal yourself to us and confront us with who we are so that we may turn to you and be reborn into your likeness
