I have always considered Matthew 28:19 to be legitimate (unlike 1John 5:7,8).  Ran across this interesting article from sdaglobal.org that raises some questions.  What is really strange is that this article in from an "official" SDA denominational website that promotes Trinitarianism. Almost every Adventist writer that has ever written a book or article about the Holy Spirit from a Trinitarian perspective have quoted Ellen White. Specifically, "third person of the Godhead," and "three living persons." It came to a head one day, after sitting with Karna (wife) for some time, listening to sermon after sermon. On the day of his ascension, Jesus told the disciples to “wait for the promise of the Father” Acts 1:4 Jesus said, “I send the promise of my Father upon you..you will be endued with power from on high” Luke 24:49.  Then “Jesus having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit” shed it forth. The thought that God would actually keep His own commandments and not kill anyone as the commandments state while being extremely logical presents several problems to readers of the Bible. People approach many of the stories of the Old Testament like approach the law of God without the mercy seat. The reference is made to plain statements such as these:
