Flow of Blessings (Review of the book 'The Divine Pattern')

The Divine Pattern is a book written by Adrian Ebens which emphasizes on the fact that we are recipients of the blessings that flow from God, Our Father through His dear Son Jesus Christ becoming a Source and channel method which governs all aspects of our lives. Through the book, Our Father has helped me know that He is the Source of everything, and He has given His Son the authority and charge over what has been created. The relationship that the Father has with His Son is the primary key to all other relationships; it is the pattern for all the universe to behold. The Father and Son are important to us; but just as importantly is their relationship to each other, which is often overlooked.
It is from the plan of the God, the Father Himself, that we are able to understand clearly the individuality and personality of Himself and His Son. The more you understand them, the more you love them, and the more the spiritual blessings abound. Growing up, things happen that change your behavior for good or bad. For example, I thought my mom was so annoying since she couldn't understand things quickly when we communicated, and this resulted in me being disrespectful and disobedient. Whatever she has to say won't make any sense to me. I didn’t care since I couldn’t understand anything. Thank God for the revelation He gave to Adrian in this book that has taught me deeply to understand that by dishonoring and disrespecting my mom (as a source of authority at home), I'm dishonoring the authority He established. Out of this I hinder lots of blessings, especially parental blessing from my mom bestowed from Our Father. My stubbornness only made things difficult for me and could not create room for me to learn. Indeed, love was lacking and the channel of blessing had been blocked.
If I cannot respect my mom who is closer to me than the society (and is the relationship from which I learn how to relate to other authorities in the community around me), the negative vibrations will result in me not respecting or obeying my elders and those in authority too, in terms of conduct and speech, since the spirit of rebellion is upon me. The book has helped me to know the plan of God on this and the blessings that are bestowed upon the right pattern, which are given without measure when I obey and submit in love. This is just as Christ honored and submitted to His Father, who is His head, in the perfect spirit of loving assurance.
Another essential lesson learnt is in:
John 6:38 - For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
This helped me understand well that Christ did nothing of His own will. He must have been sent by Someone else. It also made me to know that the Father and the Son are two distinct Persons, not same person as I used to think. If Christ was with the Father, then He is not the Father. They are two distinct Beings but One in character, purpose and unity, just like how Adam and Eve were two individuals but one in purpose, character and unity. I thank God I came to this light.
In as much as God wants to bless His children, they have not placed themselves in the line of obedience to receive the blessings. This is as a result of Satan who has come up with a way of breaking the pattern of the Father-Son in our homes, church and society to prevent the flow of blessings to us. The channel of blessing comes to us from the Father through His Son Jesus Christ, as a well of water springing up into Everlasting life. The relationship that the Father and Son have is a loving one, and so I should unplug myself from what is distracting me from my most important relationship - such as media blankets; Tv, shows, movies, video games, sports etc. Breaking of the blessing flow pattern has resulted in chaos, in homes, churches, society and even ourselves.
KJV Jeremiah 10
20 My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.
21 For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.
22 Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.
23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
24 O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.
25 Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.
When you tamper with the plan of the Father and His Son, which is the key to every aspect of our lives, the curse falls heavily upon us; because rejecting the one that has authority over us causes us to emotionally condemn ourselves and separate from them so as to not have them rule over us. We don't see the need of being under authority of anyone, and thus demand equality. This has only become a burden to us, and causes confusion in all our relationships. When I realized this, I've learnt the ways of submission, obedience, respect, and most importantly to honor this pattern of authority whereby I've experienced the blessings out of it. For example, I regained peace when I chose not to undermine my mom anymore, regardless of what happens; and I stopped looking down on her. These days I spend time talking to her in person rather than on social media, and it has created a strong bond which is a blessing unto me. We are in better terms than before. Praise God!
It's my prayer that we should escape the lie that we are not to follow the divine pattern rule.
I would highly recommend this book to everyone and anyone who:
1. Would love to know how the Divine Pattern rule has been tampered with and replaced with another
2. The consequences of tampering with the pattern
3. What to do when the leadership (in church) has failed and how to deal with the situation
4.How to approach the leadership in a submissive, respectful way
5. How to deal with rejection when those in authority don't agree to what you're saying, and
6. The examples of Source-Channel method throughout the Bible.
I get to understand why Adrian Ebens wrote this book and gave the title “Divine Pattern.” This is important since it will help get relevant questions answered like;
1. If the channel is corrupted, can blessings come to us?
2. Shall we plead for the lives of those who are not in truth, or should we curse them?
3. Should we separate ourselves from people who do not agree to what we say or not?
Thank you. Shalom
