Eph 1:2-3  Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.  (3)  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

How often do we read this salutation from Paul - "Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ and believe that there is an actual gift of grace and peace in these words?

When Jesus sent out His Disciples, He mentioned the following counsel

Mat 10:13  And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

What is the peace that that the disciples can impart? Is it not the Spirit of Christ given to them by Christ?

Joh 7:37-38  In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.  (38)  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

When we know the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of the Father, we can have the assurance that His peace rests upon us. That peace is the very peace that Christ possesses in the knowledge of His Father's love and acceptance of Him. We partake of this Spirit and receive this grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Last week after spending some time asking our Father for the Spirit of our Saviour, I awoke a few mornings later to a wonderful sense of peace. The peace and joy were distinct and marked and I rejoiced in the peace of our Saviour. So deep was this peace that I wanted all around me to taste it and experience it. There is such sweet peace in the knowledge of the Father and His Son. Will you receive this grace and peace? Will you accept it not because you are worthy but because of our Father's mercy and love for you?

I pray that all who read this article will taste of the waters I have tasted and be filled with the grace and peace that I have experienced. To know the love of Christ and the power of His resurrection - what joy; what peace; what grace!

We are accepted in the Beloved! Eph 1:6
