How did John become the disciple Jesus loved? Through John believing it. The Agape of Jesus believed by John made him the disciple Jesus loved. Why did Jesus ask Peter do you love (agape) me? because he wanted to see if Peter believed that Jesus loved (agaped) him regardless of what he had done.
This is vital truth for those sealed under the Third Angel. Do you know that Jesus Agapes you despite what you have done in the past? Do you believe in His forgiveness and power to sin no more?

What does it mean to keep the Sabbath? How can we rest on the Sabbath when there is no rest for the wicked. How can we keep the Sabbath holy if we are not holy?

How shall we understand this quote from the pen of inspiration?
The plea may be made that a loving Father would not see His children suffering the punishment of God by fire while He had the power to relieve them. But God would, for the good of His subjects and for their safety, punish the transgressor. God does not work on the plan of man. He can do infinite justice that man has no right to do before his fellow man. Noah would have displeased God to have drowned one of the scoffers and mockers
that harassed him, but God drowned the vast world. Lot would have had no right to inflict punishment on his sons-in-law, but God would do it in strict justice.--Ms 5, 1876, pp. 1-3. (12MR 208,209)

We give thanks to God for the life of my father, Abel Ebens. His laughter, his energy, his honesty, his hard working attitude and respect of his parents flowed out of him like a fountain from which we have been blessed to drink.
It was a personal delight for me that my father accepted the truth of the begotten Son in 2008. In 2008 he wrote
God is love
1. 1 John 4:8
2. He loves me as His son (1 John 3:1)
3. Jer 31:3 I have loved you with an everlasting love Abel. Thank you Father.
4. Isa 43:4. You are precious in my sight and I love you Abel. I will protect you. Thank you Father. , Ps 121:8 The Lord will watch over you as long as [you] live Abel.
5. Isa 43:10; 44:6,8; 45:5,22 God says: I am the first and the last and beside me there is no God.
6. Mark 12:29. God is the only Lord
7. 1 Cor 8:4 There is no other God.
8. John 17:3 This is eternal life to know you the only true God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent
9. Isa 9:6 Jesus is called God but He is God to the glory of His Father. (Phil 2:11)
10. He is equal with God (Phil 2:6 but not co-equal)
11. He has the full nature of God (Col 1:19)
12. But God is the One Who is ultimately in charge of everything (1 Cor 15:27) and
13. Jesus will be subject to His Father as He was before He came, verse 28.
14. 1 Cor 11:3 The head of Christ is God
15. Matt 28:18 I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Jesus says,
16. John 5:19 Jesus does everything by the Father’s consent.
17. Luke 24:30 Jesus says “Look at my hands and my feet and feel them, a spirit does not have flesh and bones like you see my have.
As soon as you believed (trusted) that Jesus is the Son of God (not just a role player) and accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour you were given eternal life. Amen Col 1:15
He is the visible likeness of the invisible God (not God Himself)
Ex 34:6 God is merciful, forgiving iniquity and sin, will by no means clear the guilty.
1 John 5:12 Abel if you believe in the Son of God you have eternal life. And I do Lord, thank you for letting me in. John 17:1
Jesus looked up to heaven and prayed “Father the hour has come for you to honour me as your son so that I may honour you as my Father.
