Nature and revelation alike testify of God's love. Our Father in heaven is the source of life, of wisdom, and of joy. SC 9.
It is Satan's constant effort to misrepresent the character of God, the nature of sin, and the real issues at stake in the great controversy. GC 569
By the same misrepresentation of the character of God as he had practiced in heaven, causing Him to be regarded as severe and tyrannical, Satan induced man to sin. GC 500
