Where is God When You are in Pain

Where is God when you are in pain?

Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matt 25:40

Both the good done to others is done to Christ and the bad done to others is done to Christ. Every wound, every punch, every feeling of pain is felt by Christ who lights every man who comes into the World. In all our affliction He is afflicted.

Where is God when you are in pain?

He suffered it before you did and is carrying you through it like one set of footprints in the sand.

Why is there pain and suffering? Because there is responsibility for free choice. Free choice is only free when it has responsibility and consequences.

Christ suffers as much when a Muslim is tortured as when a Christian is tortured. He suffers as much when a gay person is abused as when a "straight" person is abused. The sufferings of Christ change the field of view in all these current conflicts.

When we hate - Christ suffers no matter what race, colour or creed.
When we burn with a desire to destroy, Christ already feels this fury of our minds in His soul, in the realm of the invisible, He already is suffering - for he that hates his brother is a murderer. 1 John 3:15.

Our wrong choices bring pain to all including Christ. Daily he suffers the agonies of crucifixion in the hatred and selfishness of men and women.

God help us to think thoughts of love that Christ might have rest from His daily torture in the lives of men and women around the world.
