From the time that Lucifer (who is also known as Satan, or the Devil), first entertained thoughts of rebellion against God, to when sin is finally vanquished when death is cast into the `lake of fire' with him (Revelation 20: 10, 14), the entire issue of salvation has from eternity hinged upon the principle of the character of God, in contrast to the character of Satan. Philippians 2: 5 - 8 contrasts the selfless mind of Christ (of which we are exhorted to partake of), with the selfish mind of Lucifer, the fallen angel of God: `Let this mind be…
“The covenant of mercy was made before the foundation of the world. It has existed from all eternity and was called the everlasting covenant.” 7BC 934   “As the Bible presents two laws, one changeless and eternal, the other provisional and temporary, so there are two covenants. The covenant of grace was first made with man in Eden, when after the Fall there was given a divine promise that the seed of the woman should bruise the serpent's head. To all men this covenant offered pardon and the assisting grace of God for future obedience through faith in Christ.…

When someone repeats an instruction you tend to think it must be important, right?  So when someone tells you four times to do something, it must be really important.  Well, Ellen White has told us four times (that I can find) to study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel, so it must be really important. Here is what she said: Who are standing in the counsel of God at this time?  Is it those who virtually excuse wrongs among the professed people of God and who murmur in their hearts, if not openly, against those who would reprove sin?  Is it…

Just as Adam and Eve looked forward to the advent of the Messiah, every generation has had the opportunity of being an Adventist. By definition I define Adventist as anyone who is looking for and anticipating the return of Yahushua the Messiah.  You find in Scripture that there is a “time of the end Daniel 8:17? and also the “utter end Nahum 1:9?. As we see the moral decline of society we have evidence that we do live in the “time of the end”.  There is another set of pillars upon which to build as we see the day approaching for…

Come now, let us reason together. We are challenged to be Bereans. Test the spirits and search the Scriptures preserved and handed down by the church in the wilderness to see if these things are so. Study with a friend and pray for discernment because we are promised that wherever two or three are gathered in Jesus’ Name, He is there. May you be richly blessed as you study His Word.

Then, I decided to look on the internet to see what others have said about the Third angel’s message. This is how I came about your sermons. I was very impressed with them and shared them with my brothers and sisters in Christ. Then I discovered your sermons on God’s character. They impressed me even more. The argument when Jesus said ‘if you have seen Me, you have seen the Father’ was sufficient for me to accept that Jesus fully represented God’s character. I was surprised how much love and peace this brought to me.

God's top priority is saving as many of His children as possible. But does God care about the environment and His non-human creation too? Is there any reason, as a Christian, to help look after the world God has created? Enshrined in the law of God is a memorial of Creation which speaks to this very issue.

I was just fellowshipping with some friends and we were discussing the pillars and landmarks of the Advent faith. I worked on this chart with some friends nearly 20 years ago and thought I would share it with you.

For any group of people who find themselves freed from the creedal mindset, there follows the freedom and responsibility of moving forward in the pursuit of truth in the fullness of the stature of Christ. For those of us who have found freedom in the Spirit through the Father and His Son in the context of the Adventist movement, we have certainly embraced this opportunity.

One of the many blessings of being connected to the Advent movement is the fact that its foundations were laid in the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation which flowered into the midnight cry of 1844. While some are tempted to slumber upon those prophetic foundations laid so firmly still others are feeling the tension of over 170 years of apparent delay in the coming of Christ. The prophetic foundational stones of understanding found in the works of William Miller, Josiah Litch, Uriah Smith, Stephen Haskell and Alonzo T. Jones amongst others are feeling the pressure of human history continuing towards…

Presentation Notes Psa 94:20  Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law? Recap The condemning power of Satan would lead him to institute a theory of justice inconsistent with mercy. He claims to be officiating as the voice and power of God, claims that his decisions are justice, are pure and without fault. Thus he takes his position on the judgment seat and declares that his counsels are infallible. Here his merciless justice comes in, a counterfeit of justice, abhorrent to God. {CTr 11.4} In the opening of the great controversy, Satan had…

What does Galatians 2:20 have to do with the Laodicean condition? Let’s start with the letter to the Laodicean church found in Revelation 3:14-22. 14   And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;  15   I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  16   So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.  17   Because thou sayest, I am rich, and…
While scholars generally believe that the corruption of the early Church by philosophies which are of pagan origin began with the Greek philosopher Plato - strictly speaking this is not entirely true,  for it instead begins with the nation of Israel being disobedient to Jehovah on two counts, which eventually resulted with the corruption of the early Church with philosophies which arose in ancient Greece and are completely  alien to Scripture. The first error which the nation of Israel made, was in forsaking trust in God by wanting to make a man their king. Their great leader Moses…

In December of 1844, Seventeen year old Ellen Harmon received the prophetic gift from God. Just two short months later in February of 1845, she was taken in vision to the heavenly sanctuary where she was both to behold and converse with Christ. What a fantastic gift from God granted to mortal!! Can you imagine what the reality of that vision was like?  There is much to be learnt from this vision if we can only ask the right question(s) in regard to it. Let us look here however at a question that Ms. Harmon asked Jesus in regard to…

Recently our family read through the book of Revelation as part of our family worship. We have been greatly blessed to read through the book and share together on the message contained therein. As we read through Revelation 21, we were comforted by the thought that our Father in heaven will wipe away all tears from our eyes and that the former things of this sad world will be remembered bo more. What a blessed thought. Then we came upon this verse.

Isaiah's experience needs to be ours, it is a pattern for us to follow to come out of the old covenant into the new covenant.  As the prophet Isaiah beheld the glory of the Lord, he was amazed, and, overwhelmed with a sense of his own weakness and unworthiness, he cried, “Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts.” {RH December 22, 1896, par. 2} Isaiah had denounced the sin of others;…

Greetings all, i would like to share something I read in a book called The Cross and it's Shadow by Stephen Haskel. I was blessed by this and I hope you are as well :-  "The Saviour gave His life a sacrifice for sin here on earth; and as He entered the heavenly sanctuary as High Priest, He is called the "forerunner". Under no circumstances, except as He enters "within the veil" of the heavenly sanctuary, is that name applied to the Saviour. (see Heb 6:19,20)In all monarchical forms of government the forerunner is a familiar character. In gorgeous uniform,…

John 11:35 Jesus wept. The shortest verse yet, the longest story in the bible. The bible also says this in Isa 53:3  He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.

The following is an explanation of a much misapplied verse, John 16:13.Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. John 16:13 If I am not mistaken, a Trinitarian interprets the words “he shall not speak of himself” as meaning that the Holy Spirit (as a Divine Being) will tell us nothing about Himself. I do not believe though that this is what these words are telling us. In the…
