While the Seventh-Day Adventist Church is firmly rooted in the prophetic roots of the Millerite movement and stands or falls upon the veracity of our interpretation of Daniel 8: 14:  : "Unto two thousand three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed"; our understanding of the Sanctuary message has become increasingly blurred to the point that few of our Pastors now have a comprehensive understanding of it. Consequently the knowledge of our lay people suffers; for the people rarely rise above their leadership. This is, I believe, generally symptomatic of the Church at large, for when was the last…

I have been putting this study on hold for some time now but eventually I felt compelled to do a study on ‘’the daily” in Daniel, particularly chapter 8 verse 11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

In addressing the subject of the character of God the following quote is often quoted. A single angel destroyed all the first-born of the Egyptians and filled the land with mourning. When David offended against God by numbering the people, one angel caused that terrible destruction by which his sin was punished. The same destructive power exercised by holy angels when God commands, will be exercised by evil angels when He permits. There are forces now ready, and only waiting the divine permission, to spread desolation everywhere. GC 614.2 A surface reading of this passage suggests that it was a…

There too was a priesthood of the earthly temple on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. There was a priesthood of the sanctuary at Shiloh in the wilderness. That, it is true, represented the priesthood of Christ, but did that represent any priesthood of Christ before A. D. 1? Shall we say that that represented a priesthood of Christ that was afar off? No. That priesthood in Jerusalem, in the sanctuary in the wilderness, represented a priesthood that was already in existence after the order of Melchisedek? Thou shalt be a priest forever after the order of Melchisedek? No, No. "Thou art…

The following Scripture reference forms the foundational platform for a believer in Yahushua to build upon: Daniel 9:24  Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25  Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:…

Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. There are a number of places in the New Testament where Jesus refers to the Father as His God. It might seem like a very basic question but is the Father truly the God of…

In the last few weeks I have had the opportunity to attend the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It has been just over two months since my disfellowship from the church and I have felt a strong desire to simply sit in the church and be with my brethren. The church near me is not the one that disfellowshipped me, so the issues surrounding my removal were thankfully not front and centre of discussion.

The Adventist message is built upon a prophetic basis that traces several lines of prophecy down to the last days. This prophetic frame work is not an end in itself but rather a structure for which to place a most precious stone. The stones rests upon the carefully crafted structure but the focus of the message is the stone not the structure. Of the 1000’s of books produced by God’s remnant people if you were to boil it down what is the core of that message? What is a one line sentence that sums it up?
The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the inter-relation between Conditionalism and non-Trinitarianism.  Most church leaders, and members do NOT understand this relation because of Leroy Froom’s powerful effort and influence to disassociate these two doctrines.  Leave this for another article.  The significance of this relation is clearly seen when realizing that Adventist leaders were both Conditionalists, and non-Trinitarian BEFORE they were Sabbatarian.  Not only this, it was by understanding and accepting the doctrine of Conditionalism that directly influenced them to reject Trinitarianism and become anti-Trinitarian.  This realization dispels at least four popular myths promoted by Froom, and most…

Sermon Notes for Sermon Aug 11 2018 Ecc 12:13-14  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.  (14)  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. 2 Cor 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.  Dan 7:9-11  I beheld till the thrones were cast…

Part One - Will the true `Historic Adventist' please stand up? This is the first of a series of articles which seeks to examine what is truly `Historic Adventism' - and how it differs with what is commonly accepted as `Historic Adventism'. While I do not seek to write comprehensively on Adventist history for the reason that a  multitude of documents have already been produced on this; what I do seek to do is to give an entirely different perspective on a life giving faith which all Adventists should classify as `Historic Adventism'. So please forgive me if I  cover…

`And the beast I saw was like unto a Leopard' Part 4 in a series of articles on the Little Horn of Daniel 8, and the Leopard-like beast of Revelation 13.   To say that the nondescript beast of Revelation 13 has the body of a Leopard is actually a misnomer, for a literal translation of the text is that it `was like a leopard' (NKJV).  If it was `like a leopard' - then the chief characteristic of the Papacy is that as it is very much like Greece in some respects, then its `likeness' to Greece constitutes the…

Testimonies for the Church, Volume I., page 268: ‘I was shown the inhabitants of the earth in the utmost confusion. War, bloodshed, privation, want, famine, and pestilence were abroad in the land. As these things surrounded God’s people, they began to press together, and to cast aside their little difficulties. Self-dignity no longer controlled them; deep humility took its place. Suffering, perplexity, and privation caused reason to resume its throne, and the passionate and unreasonable man became sane, and acted with discretion and wisdom.{1T 268.1} My attention was then called from the scene. There seemed to be a little time…

I had the opportunity recently to read the booklet Living Bread from Heaven by Adrian Ebens, and found an amazing blessing in understanding for the first time the connection of the blessings represented in the offerings of the sacrificial or ceremonial system and the blessings our heavenly Father bestows to His children through His only begotten Son and His sacrifice; this blessings expand and deepen throughout the year as we partake of our Father’s Holy convocations: daily, Sabbath, monthly, yearly (first and seventh month convocations); and if we follow this cascading Sabbath fountain all through the year, we will be…

It would be well to read the paper: "The Alpha and the Omega of Deadly Heresies in Seventh Day Adventism" before reading this one. The Personality of God and of Christ This presentation will set forth the personality of God and of Christ “which is everything to us as a people” Letter 300, 1903. The particular aspect of the personality of God and of Christ set forth in this study pertains to their Father-Son relationship as two individual personal Divine Beings, which relationship has been obscured through such teachings as the doctrine of the trinity and tritheism. And before continuing,…

In Recent months I have been deeply impressed with the reality of our Saviour’s meditorial work in the Most Holy Place. I can’t really put into words the view that is in my mind about the vital work we must do in availing ourselves of the intercession of Jesus. Realizing that our forefathers found the way into the Most Holy and walking that path in my mind has pressed the reality of this heavenly work upon me. It is as if that I have obtained a blessing from heaven by opening my heart to the work our pioneers and had my…

The practical application of a theoretical truth The last years have brought great debates in the middle of God’s Church on the Godhead subject. The people are torn apart and the crisis seems to grow in intensity. In the middle of these debates one may ask a logical question: how does knowing this subject help me in my personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? What is the use of believing the right thing about God and what is the loss of being wrong on this subject? Personally, I have been asked these kinds of questions and, indeed they require…

I am eager to share with you the contents of this feature article concerning the cross of Christ. Maybe you have already seen this view of the cross in your own studies and if you have then we can rejoice together at the wonderful love of God and His Son.
