The earthly sanctuary services were appointed of God to help man know and understand exactly what God was willing to do for him. Every animal slain by the hand of the sinner was to be a miniature Calvary. It was to reveal to man the deep-seated enmity he held against God, but in the same instant to prove to him that God held nothing back, not even His Son, if by any means He could bring man to see his rebellion. It was in this way that God prepared the catalyst to break the proud and stubborn heart of man. Nothing less than “blood” could wash away such an awful sin as his, i.e., the will to kill God.

The Great Master Artist

Nikolai Aldunin: the master of miniatures! Reminds me of the great Master Artist who lovingly created every cell in my body - works of art so tiny that microscope is needed to see them.

"For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well." Psalm 139:13-14

Unlike Aldunin, God is not limited to miniatures...He created "everything upon the earth, from the loftiest tree of the forest to the lichen that clings to the rock, from the boundless ocean to the tiniest shell on the shore" (Mrs. E. G. White, in "Education," p. 100).

The Creator painted all these on the shifting canvas of the heavens, yet "man was the crowning act of the creation of God, made in the image of God, and designed to be a counterpart of God.... Man is very dear to God, because he was formed in His own image." (My Life Today, p. 126).

It blows my mind that out of all the amazing things in the world, I'm the crowning glory of His creation. Thank you God!
