22) When Jesus Becomes Messiah
AIM:(1) To show the accuracy of the Bible in predicting the coming of the Messiah. (2) To show that the gospel plan is following a time line. (3) To show that the Jewish copies of the gospel elements would be replaced (cause sacrifice and oblation to cease) when Jesus died on the cross.
Outline: Take your student to Mark 1:14,15 where Jesus says, “The time is fulfilled”. The time Jesus referred to was the time prophecy of Daniel nine. Impress upon your student the fact that the baptism and death of Jesus was clearly foretold 600 years before by the prophet Daniel. Establish the year-day principle and then move step by step through the various dates showing their fulfilment.
