06 Brass Mirror of Sin

What is the meaning of the Brass on the Altar of Sacrifice in the Sanctuary service? Why did Moses lift up a serpent of Brass in the wilderness and how could this give life? 

Brass is an alloy of Copper and Zinc. These elements have a tension when operating in the human body. What tension does the cross resolve for man? His own justice is satisfied and thus He can believe in mercy.
