God desires His people to show by their lives the advantage of Christianity over worldliness, to show that they are working on a high, holy plane. He longs to see them showing that the truth they have received has made them children of the heavenly King. He longs to make them channels through which He can pour His boundless love and mercy.

At the present time I am preparing some scripts for our new video series on the Character of God. I just penned these thoughts and had to share them. The light of the cross is so blindingly bright, the purity of God's love is so vast and broad I can only stand in awe. I am moved, challenged and humbled by the cross. May these thoughts bless you as they have blessed me.

Ever since Christ spoke the words `It is finished’ as He expired on the cross at Calvary, men have struggled with trying to understand the manner in which Christ saves us. The questions invariably raised have led to the formulation of answers; the doctrine of which reflects the manner in which His character is perceived.
As the character of God is synonymous with the love of God, then it follows that our perceptions of how He has atoned for our sins are going to radically affect the manner in which we respond to His love for us in our appreciation…

This morning I was thinking about the pioneers unique understanding of the Heavenly Sanctuary and how it dovetailed with their understanding of the Father and His Son (most specifically Jones and Waggoner in 1888).
Let me explain:-
In 1844 the Son moved to the Most Holy Place from the Holy Place. He had commenced the final phase of the Sanctuary work. He had commenced the cleansing of the Sanctuary. From Pentecost to 1844 the work of the Holy Placed included preparing a people to die for him. Many martyrs held their faith during this period (or at least almost up…

Throughout the month of June, I attended the TRSC Evangelistic Training School LiveStream remotely, and I was asked to share a report on my experience.
Adrian starts the series off, by introducing a series of divine information system models or patterns, to be used later as study and discussion aids. Then by using Millers Rules of Bible Interpretation, several key Biblical messages are then brought forward to clarify, edify and strengthen Gods Church.
For some, these messages may be new exciting and liberating - for others, at first pass they may be challenging to absorb. Although for either at a…
Comment on `1888 “Light From Heaven” Rejected– The Covenants Issue'

Once again one of my replies is far too long, so I have had to write a blog instead!
David Barron's article on the rejection of the two covenants is the clearest and most concise summary of the real issue behind the rejection of `1888' that I have ever read and I find it a real blessing. Clearly, those in the Butler camp had imbibed of some tenets of dispensationalism - one thing our historians are reluctant to tell us. Take, for example the case of D. M. Canright. It was only a year after he had written the statement…

This blog is a continuation from the two previous ones subtitled "Married to Another" - a blog series contrasting the two covenants.
Example 5: - The faithful Roman Centurion
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy for you to come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. – Matt 8:8
Now we will consider the faith of a man who experienced the everlasting covenant to whom Jesus – “the Prince of the Holy Covenant” – encountered and commended. The self-distrust and firm belief exemplified in the Roman army…

The Spirit of the Lord rest upon me, to make this confession as a means of encouragement to us all.
As I study the messages of 1888 and righteousness by faith the lord has spoken to me in a way that has humbled my heart. What is corporate repentance? It is not a time for us to point a finger at each other. I believe it is the way for us to enter the most holy place of the sanctuary.

Matt 26:8-14 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? (9) For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. (10) When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. (11) For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. (12) For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. (13) Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever…

Declaration of Questions on Doctrine Concerning the Godhead
In 1957 the Adventist Church released the book questions on Doctrine. On the very first page in response to question one, this statement is made:
In Common with Conservative Christians and the Historic Protestant Creeds, We Believe.
1. That God is the Sovereign Creator, upholder and ruler of the universe, and that He is eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.
2. That the Godhead, the Trinity, comprises God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.?

What do the Historic Protestant Creeds teach that from this point…

Superseding Natural Law!
Introduction: Welcome to part two of three in the study of the Covenants. Part 1 is available HERE. At face value glancing at the title and subtitle one could easily think, this study is promoting infidelity, and rebellion to law and order! If you read the first study you will know it is certainly not! In this study we will consider how to be delivered from the law of sin and death, how to be free from condemnation to walk in the liberty of Christ. We will examine the purpose of the 10 Commandment law and what…

The Destroying Angel
The Lord worked for His people by signs and wonders, sending terrible judgments upon Pharaoh. At length the destroying angel was bidden to slay the first-born of man and beast among the Egyptians. {DA 51.3}
Let Christian parents resolve that they will be loyal to God, and let them gather their children into their homes [325] with them and strike the doorpost with blood, representing Christ as the only One who can shield and save, that the destroying angel may pass over the cherished circle of the household. AH 324,325
When the destroying angel was about to…

The Bible defines for us through the persons of Father and Son the Divine Pattern of life
1 Cor 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
As I have shared previously, this pattern occurs in many places within our lives.

For those unfamiliar with the principles of the Divine Pattern I suggest you read the article “Divine Pattern – Key to the Law”.
In brief summary the truth about life is based on the relationship of the Father and His Son and this is best summed up with this Bible passage.

There are times in life when you become aware that you are operating on a pattern or principles that through exposure and repetition becomes sub conscious. When I was visiting the United States a few years ago, I discovered this when walking down a sidewalk. As I was walking a person was coming in the opposite direction, I moved to the left and he moved to the right and when you are coming from opposite directions this means we both moved into each other. I had this happen several times. The pattern that has been developed in my mind of…
Do you Agape Me?

Here we find the greatest reason why men and women can’t see the truth of God’s character. The condemnation by which they judge themselves or others, prevents them from accepting the agape of God, just like Peter. His own judgment of his situation limited the love of Jesus for him and hid from Peter the true love Jesus had for him.

A door is opened to the church of Philadelphia. The Church who was waiting the Lord in 1844 is part of the church of Philadelphia according to our historical understanding.
EGW identifies the open door referred to the church of Philadelphia as Jesus Christ starting his ministry in the Most Holies, as it follows,
"This subject was not understood by Adventists…

Today more and more people are rediscovering what the early Millerite and Adventist believers began to understand through Scripture study, that following Jesus’ literal movements in the literal heavenly sanctuary through its literal cycle of services and appointments is the key that unlocks past and future prophetic waymarks. There are others, even some Adventists, who have challenged the validity of this understanding especially as it relates to October 22, 1844 and the Day of Atonement. The question is raised, “did Jesus literally move into His Most Holy Place ministry on the literal Day of Atonement in 1844?”

Next stop was a flight to Durban, the biggest Indian city outside of India and the largest city in KwaZulu-Natal. It is home to what was formerly the Zulu Kingdom, and the Zulus are the largest of the black tribes in South Africa. We were picked up at the airport by Nina and Bester Snyman, who drove us to their home in Empangeni, about 2 hours from the airport. The next day we picked up Ben Kramlich from Talking Rock Sabbath Chapel in America, who joined us for this part of the trip and the Feast of Tabernacles. KwaZulu-Natal is…
