The earthly sanctuary services were appointed of God to help man know and understand exactly what God was willing to do for him. Every animal slain by the hand of the sinner was to be a miniature Calvary. It was to reveal to man the deep-seated enmity he held against God, but in the same instant to prove to him that God held nothing back, not even His Son, if by any means He could bring man to see his rebellion. It was in this way that God prepared the catalyst to break the proud and stubborn heart of man. Nothing less than “blood” could wash away such an awful sin as his, i.e., the will to kill God.

Christ feels the woe of every human sufferer

In light of the fact that thousands of people were raped or murdered or overdosed on drugs yesterday keep in mind the following inspired statement.

Christ feels the woes of every sufferer. When evil spirits rend a human frame, Christ feels the curse. When fever is burning up the life current, He feels the agony. And He is just as willing to heal the sick now as when He was personally on earth. Christ's servants are His [824] representatives, the channels for His working. He desires through them to exercise His healing power. {DA 823.4}

Has the cross of Christ ceased? Is his agony and suffering diminished? And what of the angels that are forced to witness these things every day? Would you prefer to be an angel and be forced to stand back and watch Satan and his angels rip people apart?

And why is he allowed to do this?

Lev 26: 3-6 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; (4) Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. (5) And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. (6) And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

When will the sufferings of Christ end? How long will people reject God's commandments and statutes? How long will men teach freedom from the law which protects and guards the soul? How long will men tear down the hedge of protection and therefore cause Christ and His angels to witness and experience the sickening events of this wicked world every second of every day?
