The earthly sanctuary services were appointed of God to help man know and understand exactly what God was willing to do for him. Every animal slain by the hand of the sinner was to be a miniature Calvary. It was to reveal to man the deep-seated enmity he held against God, but in the same instant to prove to him that God held nothing back, not even His Son, if by any means He could bring man to see his rebellion. It was in this way that God prepared the catalyst to break the proud and stubborn heart of man. Nothing less than “blood” could wash away such an awful sin as his, i.e., the will to kill God.

Disciples of the Son of God

John 9:28-30  Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples. We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is. The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.

Lord Jesus, I will follow you where you call. I never really understood the cost of following the Son of God. To actually accept that you are God’s Son and to choose to believe you when you say that you proceeded and came forth from God. My brothers believe that they do not know where you came from, but you have told us you came from the Father. I believe you Lord Jesus, I will take up my cross and follow you. I ask you for strength to follow.

I thank you for opening my eyes. I once was blind but now I can see. I know why I can see Lord for I see Jesus the Way, the Truth and the Life. I can see that all things centre in who you are and that the Father has made it this way. Our full inheritance comes in knowing You. It is so simple and so easy and yet it is so narrow.

I love you Lord Jesus for showing me the way to the Father, for giving me Your Spirit, for putting a desire in my heart to love and please the Father and keep His commandments. Teach me more about this path Lord, teach me how to always do those things that please the Father.
