Last night some counsel was brought to my attention. The counsel was given to Ellen White in 1875 concerning the advancing of present truth. Within this counsel there is found several elements that I have been seeking to advance over the past 7 years. The importance of the publishing work is central to our advance. Tracts and smaller booklets are to be given away freely and scattered like the leaves of autumn. Men are to be trained to share the books to advance the work.
The instruction given to Ellen White was that larger books should be sold. It has been my policy to provide all materials freely to this point. In order to establish the canvassing work, I knew this policy would need to change. The time for change is now.
This is the new policy I will adopt from this point forward.
