The concept of submission and free will seem to be in opposition to each other in the human mind, and yet, this is the very heartbeat of heaven itself. The relationship between God and His Son is modelled after this pattern. Agape amongst all the heavenly hosts is made manifest by worship and adoration to God by a heartfelt, freewill response. What a feast we had this year! Tabernacles Argentina 2024, and the Bible Training right after, were incredible experiences. I thought I would share them here in the hopes that it encourages you. The “party” began several days before: the group from Puerto Rico arrived a few days before Atonement. We spent a very blessed Sabbath, and two days later, the Day of Atonement, with them. I hadn’t had such a refreshing time in several months. We enjoyed deep talks, heartfelt music and conversations. Imagine being compelled by a desire to be close to every single person you know. Maybe if you had lots of money and showered people with gifts you could certainly get people’s attention. Yet would they be close to you? Would they not be further away from you because the gifts you give become a replacement for yourself and your friends would desire your gifts more than they would desire you and your company. Such was the experience of the prodigal son when his money ran out.

The Hebrew week was totally centered around the Sabbath. The word for Sunday was just “first”, Monday “Second”, etc. the first 6 days had no special name, they were just numbered.
