The question may be asked, how important is the foundation of a building or organisation? A church is described as having pillars of faith, and it is true that whenever one pillar is attacked at least a portion of the building will be in danger of collapse. An example of a pillar of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church is the Sanctuary Doctrine. This pillar is described by Mrs Ellen G White as the Central Pillar of our faith! (See GC.p409). Now if the central pillar of a building/organisation is removed the whole structure would become unstable. What about if the foundation…

Feature Article Dear maranathamedia subscriber I recently had the opportunity to take part in something that gave me and those with me a taste of good things to come. I attended a camp meeting not far from Melbourne, Australia and had the opportunity to listen to heart felt preaching and participate in sweet fellowship. It was during one of the presentations that a conviction pressed itself upon me. Brother Howard Williams from Restoration Ministries presented to us the truth that when the apostolic church preached and ministered that it did not only do so with words but with power. See…
Over recent months it has become obvious that there are some very key differences of understanding of the Scriptures between David and myself. We have tried a number of times to see if we can harmonize our thinking. We have both prayed about these differences and have hoped for a path that would lead to unity. At this present time we have not been able to come to agreement. In most cases when brethren have serious differences that cannot be reconciled, it usually leads to a breakdown in friendship. Neither David nor I believe this is what Christ would wish…

We became "family" with fellow believers, many of whom I had met for the first time. This truly was not a theory or a passing whim, but a tangible expression of the grace empowered by the blessings and inspired talks. I have never experienced before the security and presence of Father's Spirit to such a degree..a place where we were learning to share our heart without being judged. A TRUE PLACE OF SAFETY. Daily the insights and understandings of the talks and discussions generated were powerfully removing the leaven of our discernment and understandings of the character of God.

So we see in Scripture the reality of what Ellen White and A.T. Jones both stated that the priesthood of Christ was operating from the fall of man into sin.   The priesthood of Christ commenced as soon as man had sinned. He was made a priest after the order of Melchizedek. {Ms43b-1891 (July 4, 1891) par. 5} That priesthood in Jerusalem, in the sanctuary in the wilderness, represented a priesthood that was already in existence after the order of Melchisedek? Thou shalt be a priest forever after the order of Melchisedek? No, No. "Thou art a priest forever after…

A Response to the Question by Pr David Asscherick What did  Ellen White mean when she employed phrases like "third person of the Godhead", "three Living persons in the heavenly trio", "the three holiest beings in heaven", "the three great powers of heaven", "the three highest powers in the universe", and "the three great worthies in heaven"?

From the beginning of time Satan has tried to confuse the human race about the meaning of God’s statements. Satan’s first statement to Eve was not a direct attack on what God had said but rather an insertion of doubt as to what God really meant. “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” The implication and manner of question assumes a completely different framework of understanding. Satan’s question suggests that there must be some kind of mistake here.[1] Satan does not seek to establish any reason why he thinks there is a mistake…

Below is a quote from Great Controversy regarding the Sabbath. Below that I have repeated the statement but with the subject of the Son of God as the subject   The Sabbath Those who received the light concerning the sanctuary and the immutability of the law of God were filled with joy and wonder as they saw the beauty and harmony of the system of truth that opened to their understanding. They desired that the light which appeared to them so precious might be imparted to all Christians; and they could not but believe that it would be joyfully accepted.…

The principle of repeating history is clearly laid out in the Bible. The experience of Abraham going down into Egypt and coming out was repeated by Israel centuries later. (Also see article comparison of Adventistism to Abraham) The experience of Israel itself provides an example of God’s people in the last days.

The system of education established in Eden centered in the family. Adam was "the son of God" (Luke 3:38), and it was from their Father that the children of the Highest received instruction. Theirs, in the truest sense, was a family school.

After Moses descended Mt Sinai with the Ten Commandments tucked underneath his arm, he found his people dancing around and worshiping the golden calf. Although the Lord had led His people out of Egypt and sustained them when they had nothing - after only forty days in his absence, they had returned to worshiping the Egyptian gods! How would you feel? So the Lord tested Moses and made a proposal to him; informing him that he would wipe out the children of Israel completely, and begin again with him. What did Moses say? `Wipe them out and start again with…
