Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Some thoughts on two SDA foundational truths

I would like to share some thoughts on how God led the early pioneers into foundational truths regarding:
(1) His true identity and
(2) The true day of the Sabbath
What I also find interesting is the order IN TIME in which which God led them into these Bible truths.
First of all with regard to God's true identity:
In December of 1844, Seventeen year old Ellen Harmon received the prophetic gift from God. Just two short months later in February of 1845, she was taken in vision to the heavenly sanctuary where she was both to behold and converse…

Spirit and Power of Elijah quotes
What was it that constituted the power of Elijah? “As the Lord liveth, before whom I stand” [1 Kings 17:1]—this was ever the watchword on his lips; and in these words lay his power. His message was from God; it filled his whole being. {Ms117-1907.20}
Elijahs are called for at this period of earth’s history. Today, messengers are to go forth in the same spirit, with the Word of God in their hands, and the Spirit of God in their hearts, speaking words of warning and entreaty and pleading with God in earnest supplication.…

Spirit of Jesus or Spirit of Satan
The Spirit of God—what a subject! It has raised many debates. Yet, truth is for the poor in spirit. They, at least, are simple and humble enough to understand and to accept the truth as little children.
In this article my goal is to show the contrast that exists between Jesus’ Holy Spirit and the devilish spirit of Satan. I would like to begin by sharing some contrasting thoughts about Jesus and Satan and then share some thoughts about those who have walked in their footsteps, showing by their lives and…

St. Augustine of Hippo (354 - 430), first developed the doctrine of `original sin' in a logical and comprehensive format, and was eventually rewarded with the honorific `Doctor Gratiae' (Doctor of Grace) in 1298 A.D. Augustine was heavily influenced by Manichaeism and neo-Platonism, which declares that everything which is of this material plane of existence is so far removed from the One-in-all pantheistic god, that all things which are tethered to this plane of existence have lost all knowledge (gnosis) of their True, or Realistic (divine) Self. As the body is believed to be essentially evil, it therefore weighs down the soul, which yearns to break free…

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
I am sure many of you are familiar with different sayings about Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow such as:
“The clock is running. Make the most of today, Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why it is called the present.” Babatunde Olatunji, a similar version is also attributed to Alice Morse Earle
“Let us not look back in anger, nor forward in fear, but around in awareness”. James Thurber
“We crucify ourselves between two thieves: regret for yesterday and fear of tomorrow”. …

The week before Thanksgiving my husband and I were privileged to attend a wedding of a dear friend in the state of Washington. In the very front of the driveway of our host family there are two magnificent huge trees. Upon closer examination of these trees something very significant appeared–the huge trees were growing out of ancient stumps! Our hosts’ daughter said these kinds of trees are called “Nursed Trees” in that the stump was the nurse to the new shoot that became a new tree. As we drove through the neighborhood we realized that these trees were everywhere. Not…

I would like to share with you my story and how God led me in my life. I hope this helps others in growing in faith.
When I was a child, I started to be interested in spiritual things. In high school, I had a school-mate who was an adventist. We talked a lot about the Bible and God, but that was all, I did not pray and these things did not became personal for me until something happened. When I was 17 years old, I became ill. I had to cough a lot. The doctors examined me and it…

Part Two in a series of articles on the Little Horn of Daniel 8, and the Leopard-like beast of Revelation 13.
Daniel 8:8 informs us that at the death of the he-goat (i.e Alexander the Great), his kingdom was divided among his generals. Verse 9 informs us that out of one of these three kingdoms would come a `little horn':
Daniel 8:9 - And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
This is of course the verse which has proven…

To all our brothers and sisters who believe on the Only Begotten Son of God,
Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers onto the prophets. Luke 6:22,23

Part 7 in a series of articles on the Little Horn of Daniel 8, and the Leopard-like beast of Revelation 13.
Perhaps the most sublime, yet misunderstood verse in the Bible is 1 John 4: 8: `He that loves not, knows not God, for God is love.' The manner by which we perceive the love, or character of God directly affects the manner by which we perceive others and the salvation which has already been wrought for us at Calvary. It also directly affects how we perceive the manner by which God relates to us, for man's salvation is directly traced…
