A Balanced Life

I have recently been learning the importance of balancing my work on the computer (which is mental work) and exercise (which is physical work). God has helped me to see the importance of it, and to have the discipline to consistently exercise a good deal every day. Compared to less than a year ago, I now do about 9 times as much exercise than then!

The body is similar in some ways to the wheel of truth. Truth must be balanced and held tightly in tension, or everything will fall apart. The body is similar, the aspects of the body must be balanced and held in tension, or it will fall apart. If the mind is constantly worked, the nervous system will have nothing to strengthen it and the body will not function properly, as it relies on muscle movement for some of things it does. If the body is constantly worked, the muscles will grow weary, and also, the person won't be a thinker! Spirituality is also part of this wheel of balance. God is the source of all life and blessing, if you don't have God, but you have a balance between the mind and body, you are still going to fall apart in the end. 1 Corinthians 13 is a good chapter to read on this, if you don't have love (the word love can be used as charity, at least in this context), which comes from the spirit of God, you are nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:2: And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

And we know that love is one of the fruits of Spirit, given to us by God because:

Galatians 5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Now, with a more balanced life and God's grace, my health is improving dramatically. Dad had been telling me all along that a more balanced life would work to this cause, I wish I had listened sooner. But praise God for His mercy in letting me see the wisdom in it, and strengthening my body in amazing ways!
