For those interested in understanding the process of HOW I discovered so many copied, and paraphrased EGW quotations (relating to the Godhead)borrowed from the writings of Protestant authors, the following is a step by step explanation. It is not complicated at all, and anyone can do the same if desired.1) Choose an EGW quotation of particular interest. We will choose this one about the Holy Spirit for demonstration purposes."Christ tells them they were to fight in fellowship with all the children of light; that satanic agencies would combine their forces to extinguish the light of the life of Christ out…

Maybe your social media use is part of the problem.
In a paper published in February, researchers found new evidence supporting the link between depression and social media addiction.
The study was conducted by researchers from the University of Mosul in Iraq, who surveyed 603 university students, asking questions about their social media use, academic performance, sleep, and depression. They found that, ‘there is a significant level of addiction to social media among the students with a high possibility of depression, both related to academic performance and sleep quality.’
The results showed that only a small number of the students…
Some thoughts on two SDA foundational truths

I would like to share some thoughts on how God led the early pioneers into foundational truths regarding:
(1) His true identity and
(2) The true day of the Sabbath
What I also find interesting is the order IN TIME in which which God led them into these Bible truths.
First of all with regard to God's true identity:
In December of 1844, Seventeen year old Ellen Harmon received the prophetic gift from God. Just two short months later in February of 1845, she was taken in vision to the heavenly sanctuary where she was both to behold and converse…

At South Bank (Brisbane Australia) this past weekend (February 15, 2014) my friend Blair, Morrie and I had many encounters and some we believe were divine appointments. I had the opportunity to share the gospel with a young Austrian tourist. He was very open and receptive so I felt impressed to give him a copy of The Desire of Ages and some DVDs. He was very grateful. And as always there were others. Blair talked with his traveling friend and shared his experience with him, and he opened up and asked many questions about health, Christianity and life.

Spirit and Power of Elijah quotes
What was it that constituted the power of Elijah? “As the Lord liveth, before whom I stand” [1 Kings 17:1]—this was ever the watchword on his lips; and in these words lay his power. His message was from God; it filled his whole being. {Ms117-1907.20}
Elijahs are called for at this period of earth’s history. Today, messengers are to go forth in the same spirit, with the Word of God in their hands, and the Spirit of God in their hearts, speaking words of warning and entreaty and pleading with God in earnest supplication.…
Standing Alone for Truth

Suppose the whole world (your world!) condemns you for believing what you see in the Bible. Suppose your convictions of truth force you to stand utterly alone. For example, suppose you are convinced in your soul that 2 + 2 = 4, but everybody around you ridicules you and says that it's 5--could you stand firm for what in your soul you believe is right?

The Translation of Identity Wars
“Cristina, I wanted to ask you to help me with a Translation project. I have been deeply convicted that my book Identity Wars must go to the world. It is currently being translated into Russian, but I also want it in Spanish. Is there any possibility you could translate it for me? Please pray and ask the Lord if this is something you could help us with.”
This request from pastor Ebens came around the middle of July of 2010. So I began…

Elder James Springer White1821-1881(60)Former General Conference President (3 times)
“In his youth James White was a school teacher. He later became a Christian minister in Maine. He accepted William Miller’s views on the Second Advent and was successful in preaching the doctrine of the soon coming of the Saviour.
He was a talented and capable executive, missionary leader, and powerful public evangelist. Not only did he participate with William Miller, Joseph Bates, and scores of other preachers in announcing the advent of our Lord in the 1840’s, but he outlived the Millerite movement to become the first great apostle of…

To all our brothers and sisters who believe on the Only Begotten Son of God,
Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers onto the prophets. Luke 6:22,23

The Begotten Son in the Nicene Creed vs Illegitimacy of Athanasian Creed

When we share the begotten Son, we can point to the Nicene Creed, and then it is not only us who are speaking, but that whole great church council. It is an appeal to authority of the most powerful type, especially because most people agree that it represents early Christianity and (nominally) agree with it. It can give us confidence when people try to paint us as being loners who invented this new doctrine – we did not; we are not alone on this.
Remember these words in the Nicene Creed: "We believe… in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, begotten of…
The begotten Son in the Writings of Ellen White

This is essentially an extract from Theos Volume 2 Pages 7-9 by Gary Hullquist. I strongly encourage the reader to read the entire volume 2 which contains several important considerations.
The modern view of Ellen White’s Christology is that she experienced a fundamental reversal in her theology during the final years of her life, from an initial belief in a begotten Son of God, heavily influenced by her domineering husband, to an absolutely co-eternal second person of a triune God.
We will examine the evidence in her own words of a consistent, persistent position, and continued belief in the literal…

A proper understanding of the covenants and beautiful quotes like this showed me that the law that Christ gave to Moses on Mount Sinai is just as much for us as it was for the people in the old testament. So what about the feasts? Are they part of the statutes and judgments?

The Hebrew week was totally centered around the Sabbath. The word for Sunday was just “first”, Monday “Second”, etc. the first 6 days had no special name, they were just numbered. Only Sabbath, the 7th day, had a special name: “Shabbat”, or “stop working” or “rested”. The whole week is seen and lived with the Sabbath in view.
Part 5 in a series of articles on the Little Horn of Daniel 8, and the Leopard-like beast of Revelation 13.
When the Serpent first lied to Eve, and informed her that if she and her husband ate of the tree of knowledge, they would then be `as gods' (Gen. 3:5); he insinuated that they would have access to hidden knowledge which God had denied to them - which was that they were of their own selves immortal, and in no need of God at all. This first great lie -`ye shall not die and be as gods'…
