Here are the sermon notes What is the desired outcome of the three messages of Revelation  14? I want to read the first part and the last part: Rev 14:7  Fear God, and give glory to him; Rev 14:12  Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.  How do we give glory to God? How does Jesus give glory to God? Heb 1:3  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, If Jesus is the express image of the Father…

A thought provoking passage is found in Judges 11: 29-40. 29 Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon. 30 And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the Lord, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands, 31 Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord's,…

. . . one may be assured that all over the world, Pastors of fundamentalist Churches are quite earnestly preaching that God is waiting to strike you down the moment you sin, and the lot of the lost is to suffer eternally in hell. Some even go as far as suggesting that as God takes perverse pleasure in the torment of the wicked, so also should we! Richard Baxter (1615 - 1691) was a Puritan of the 17th century, and has been described by Dean Stanley (1815 - 1881), Dean of Westminster as `the chief of the English Protestant Schoolmen';…

I was watching a documentary called "Ghetto Ballet which was a story about the first all black ballet group in South Africa. Out of about eight kids only two were to be picked to join this elite dance company. One of the young girls who didn't make the cut had me crushed, the man holding the auditions told her that she was fat but there was still hope, she could some how find a dietitian to help her "WHAT!!" these kids live in shanties smaller than my bedroom, and an entire family at that, I could see the Duracell tree…

Original Love - Not Ashamed The statistics speak for themselves when it comes to human relationships. More than 50% of marriages end in divorce in many countries, providing clear indications that these people did not find what they expected in the relationship. For many who remain in the bonds of marriage,…

[Espanol] During His sermon on the mount, Jesus touched several key areas that are a struggle for man. One of the points he mentioned was this. Mat 5:27-28  Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:  (28)  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. For any…

Thankyou to Adrian for submitting the article'The gift of the Cross-What's the attraction?' This week's Sabbath School lesson is the 1st. under the lovely name'Garments of Grace' This lesson refers to  Christ's  sacrifice and now sitting at the right hand of God. So, Adrian's article came just at the right time, as I have to take the lesson! This is a wonderful opportunity to let folk consider the pain of separation between the Father and His only begotten Son. I checked out the word redemption in the index of the book Desire of Ages....and found on pages 833-834 (mine is…

On March 17, 2012 a friend hosted a fellowship dinner after church.  Because March 17th is often observed as St. Patrick’s Day, was asked to share something about Patrick. I knew a little from reading “Truth Triumphant, the Church in the Wilderness” by B.G. Wilkinson.  My friend Philip recommend “The Celtic Church in Britain” by Leslie Hardinge.” Both these sources make up the majority of this presentation.  Was also blessed with the article “Should You Wear Green on St. Patrick's Day?” by B. Thiel.  Encyclopedia excerpts and some text were taken from that article.

Greetings David,    You may recall i'm the guy whom you somewhat presumptuously thought was going to help fund your work because you believed i was a man of means? Far from it, i'm a senior living below the poverty level but who's been following your activities with much interest since contacting you to determine whether copies of the New Illustrated Great Controversy were still available only to learn they continue out of print, thus circulation, since their first and only printing way back when. It has, however, not been a source of amusement to see how you keep promoting that publication when there remain none…

The following paper is a compilation of quotes from the Spirit of Prophecy that are arranged in sequence according to the plan of salvation. Each quote contains the word "flow" highlighted in blue print. I found this compilation to be an excellent complement to the paper: "Breath of God the Breath of Life." The paper flows really well from start to finish!Praise God, From Whom All Blessings Flow God is love. Like rays of light from the sun, love and light and joy flow out from Him to all His creatures. It is His nature to give. His very life is…
Wishing everyone a wonderful Sabbath!! I just wanted to praise God and give Him thanks for this last week.  On Tuesday I started a new job.  I have not had a paid job outside the home since November 1996.  Our first son, Michael was born in January 1997, closely followed by Daniel in August 1998.  With the health challenges that Adrian & Daniel have had, life has been full enough for me staying home.  Now that Daniel is well settled in the Special School with transport provided by the school bus, we thought I might be able to get a…

Feature Article In Recent months I have been deeply impressed with the reality of our Saviour’s meditorial work in the Most Holy Place. I can’t really put into words the view that is in my mind about the vital work we must do in availing ourselves of the intercession of Jesus. Realizing that our forefathers found the way into the Most Holy and walking that path in my mind has pressed the reality of this heavenly work upon me. It is as if that I have obtained a blessing from heaven by opening my heart to the work our pioneers and…

Feature Article Dear Maranathamedia subscriber A request to allow commissioned ministers in the North American and Trans-European divisions?those who have not been formally ordained as Seventh-day Adventist pastors?to serve as conference presidents sparked more than six hours of debate, during the world church's Annual Council.  The driving concern for many can be summed up by the words of one delegate to this debate "My deepest concern is with the many, many young people in Europe who grow up in an egalitarian society?of which many of you here have no idea what it is like?where they are taught from their first…

... and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born...    The Dragon is Satan (verse 9), but the power that he used to try to kill Jesus even at His birth as man was the pagan Rome (Matthew 2). Even in the beginning of His life on the earth Jesus had to go in Egypt because of the slaughtering of children by Herod, like Moses when he was saved by God in Egypt. Like Moses who was drawn from the water and spent 40…

I was handed the July, 2012 Signs of the Times (Australian) opened to page 13 and asked “Read this and tell me what you think.”  The article is titled “God is a Family” and it seeks to explain how God can be three and yet be one.  Let’s have a look at the ideas and proof texts put forward and test them just as we are admonished to do.  After correctly stating that “the word Trinity does not appear in the Bible”, the article then asserts that the “idea of the Trinity shows up very clearly in the Bible”.  This…
