In 2012, Brother Adrian wrote in reference to his book, The Return of Elijah, "Ignited by the words declared at the baptism of Christ and fanned by the significance of the conflict with Satan over His Sonship, my mind exploded into an accelerated writing experience that became the book The Return of Elijah." Last night I began reading his book, and what I thought was going to be an easy skim-and-digest experience is now obviously going to be a bite-off-a-piece-and-chew-thoroughly-before-swallowing type of experience! I've only managed to make it to page 36 so far (that's very slow progress for me since…

This is not a book review but simply a heartfelt response to Adrian Eben’s book The Return of Elijah. And I will confess that because of the amount of highlighting and underlining done along the journey through this material, The Return of Elijah is currently the most colorful book in my collection.
Brother Adrian requests the reader to “Please see this book as written by a son who is coming to his father and saying, ‘Dad, I think I found something amazing…” (p. 249). Although that ‘amazing’ truth was revealed to me prior to reading the book, (and yes, Brother…

Hello Brother Adrian:I am up to page 168 of your manuscript: "The Return of Elijah." I just thanked our Father in heaven again for giving you such clear insight and for publishing the spiritualising that took place of our doctrines leading to all manner of spiritual confusion and heresies. This explanation of the spirtualising of our doctrines and its baleful effects as outlined in your manuscript should be understood by all Seventh Day Adventists.

I don’t often find myself at a loss for words, but words fail to express the depth of gratitude I have for the healing God has wrought in my personal experience through the poems recorded in this book. My hope and prayer is simply that these words would find a resounding chord in the hearts of readers, that we may be reminded that “no temptation has overtaken [us] except such as is common to man” (I Cor. 10:13), and that you may likewise begin to see a clearer and more beautiful picture of our heavenly Father’s face, and experience the…

The Return of Elijah is taken from Malachi 4:5,6
Mal 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: (6) And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
The turning of hearts within families suggests the coming of a message that will restore the relational structures of families. Positions of headhip and submission are clearly understood and for each person in the family and what…

Dear SDA believers around the globe,
It has been a long time since I've told pastor Adrian I would write a blog about our translation of his book into french. I believe today is the day to do it ! In fact, last thursday, we finally got 700 copies of "Le Retour d'Elie" at our home, and we have already started to distribute them !
God has been so good to allow us to do this work. I still remember when I first read this book in English back in january 2012. It took me less than…

Hi there my friends!
I just got back from doing some rural food distributions today as part of the Turkana Feed Africa Project. It was an amazing experience. We had an orphan with us in the car. It wasn't until this car ride that I came to know his full story. He hadn’t seen his grandmother and siblings for a year, as poverty had driven them to send him to the orphanage. Just seeing the excitement in his eyes, as we were getting closer to his home was fascinating to me. Seeing this little boy long for the same things…

"Divinity Did Not Die"

The quotation "Divinity did not die" has caused some to think that Jesus did not really die, that some part of Him continued with conscious awareness even though there was a physical death.
The quote reads as follows:
"I am the resurrection and the life" (John 11:25). He who said, "I lay down my life, that I might take it again" (John 10:17), came forth from the grave to life that was in Himself. Humanity died; divinity did not die. In His divinity, Christ possessed the power to break the bonds of death. He declares that He has life in…

In chapter one we noted the following
Apart from the direct blessings of joy, happiness and fellowship that flow to us through this divine pattern there is also the protective blessings that we can accrue through the channel. In each case, the one “through whom” things come, is under the protection and possesses the authority of the one “by whom things come”

With the history we have considered in the previous chapter revealing the blind drunk state of our church, it is natural for many to assume that there is no blessing in looking to the leaders of the Adventist Church. Yet I believe that there are lessons for us in the story of Hannah that apply to our current situation.
In the first chapter of Samuel we have the case of Hannah who was struggling under the weight of being childless and beyond this she had to face the scornful words of another wife who could boast of producing children while…

A. The Son of God, the Centre of Great Controversy
Luk 19:12-14 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
In this parable Jesus tells the story of a nobleman who went to receive a kingdom. The nobleman of course is Christ. The citizens of the kingdom…

A. Questioning the Plain Statements of Scripture
From the beginning of time Satan has tried to confuse the human race about the meaning of God’s statements. Satan’s first statement to Eve was not a direct attack on what God had said but rather an insertion of doubt as to what God really meant. “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” The implication and manner of question assumes a completely different framework of understanding. Satan’s question suggests that there must be some kind of mistake here.[1] Satan does not seek to establish any reason…

A. Pioneers Given Great Light Concerning Person of Christ
Ellen White describes the Adventists experience as one that was lead step by step onto a solid immovable platform.
I was again brought down through these messages, and saw how dearly the people of God had purchased their experience. It had been obtained through much suffering and severe conflict. God had led them along step by step, until He had placed them upon a solid, immovable platform. EW 259 (1882)

There are a number of places in Scripture where the differences between a life source model (that reveals Christ as Begotten) and a Trinitarian model (that depicts Christ as unbegotten,[1] possessing His own resources and sharing them with the Father) become most apparent. Notice the following passages:

Section 6 – Restoration of Relational-Based-Thinking by Elijah
A. Definitions of Image and Likeness
Gen 1:26-27 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
God made man in His image. Let us unpack these two verses…
