Without notice tears began to flow. I did not imagine how long I would have to wrestle before I could log in to this website again. It’s been a while, a long while, maybe too long since I began to battle for my soul; Facing trials that meant reality or unreality, truth or error, eternal loss or apprehension and ultimately life or death. These were serious times and they presented serious issues that demanded nothing less than an absolute of that which is from above and from the Father.

Honouring Your Father
A Lesson from the Rechabites, Children of the East
One of my favourite verses in Scripture is 1st John 1:3, “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.”

“I will preach, discuss, and write; but I will constrain none, for faith is a voluntary act. See what I have done! I stood up against the pope, indulgences, and papists, but without violence or tumult. I put forward God’s Word; I preached and wrote — this was all i did...the Word that I had preached overthrew popery, so that neither prince nor emperor has done it so much harm. And yet I did nothing: the Word alone did all. If I had wished to appeal to force, the whole of Germany would perhaps have been deluged with blood. But…

Anyone who has ever loved their only child has had their hearts break if they have ever had to give them up. Yet at infinite cost to Himself, this is what God the Father did when He gave up His only Son to fallen humanity, for Jesus has been given to us forever as our Elder Brother in human form. For in order to save fallen man from sin, the Son of God had to become one like us - fully divine, yet human, with His divinity veiled by humanity. For the agape of the Father and His Christ is…

I have just been temporarily transferred over to Longreach for work and am locked into a six week contract. This is the first time I've ever gone away from family and friends to a place where I don't actually know anybody. I'm overwhelmed by a sense of loneliness and I just feel totally lost.
Though, I believe that God has brought me here for a reason. Longreach is a small town west of Brisbane. Far out west. They have a number of Churches here but, to my disappointment, there don't seem to be any Adventists around. So.. Feeling a bit…

Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent…

There are potentially three aspects common to us all regarding the character of God, and it is important for us to realize this and we consider the subject:
1. We have a definite opinion about God’s character based on observation, reading and what we were taught.
2. Our attitude towards God manifests in our treatment towards others.
3. All of us were born predisposed to possess a false concept of God (due to our fallen nature) which in turn has been confirmed and extended by the environment of our educational influences.
Unless we are delivered from these influences and initiated into a…

Isaiah's experience needs to be ours, it is a pattern for us to follow to come out of the old covenant into the new covenant.
As the prophet Isaiah beheld the glory of the Lord, he was amazed, and, overwhelmed with a sense of his own weakness and unworthiness, he cried, “Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts.” {RH December 22, 1896, par. 2}
Isaiah had denounced the sin of others;…

Of Enoch it is written that he lived sixty-five years, and begat a son. After that he walked with God three hundred years. During these earlier years Enoch had loved and feared God and had kept His commandments. He was one of the holy line, the preservers of the true faith, the progenitors of the promised seed. From the lips of Adam he had learned the dark story of the Fall, and the cheering one of God's grace as seen in the promise; and he relied upon the Redeemer to come. But after the birth of his first son, Enoch…

In the book, The Great Controversy the journey of Luther captures my thoughts like no other. As I read the brave battle he fought in the cause of truth against papal dogma and superstition the following statement really hit home to me.
The opposition of the pope and the emperor had not caused him so great perplexity and distress as he now experienced. From the professed friends of the Reformation had risen its worst enemies. The very truths which had brought him so great joy and consolation were being employed to stir up strife and create confusion in the church.…

Happy New Year! And may God bless you richly in 2012. Let’s Be Ready Read: 1 John 2:28–3:3 Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself. —1 John 3:3 Happy New Year! Looking forward to what this new year might bring, I can’t help but wonder if 2012 will be the year when Jesus comes back. But then I also wonder if I’m ready. All of my life I’ve had to “be ready.” As a child, I had to be ready for dinner by washing my hands. As an adult, being ready for important responsibilities continues to be an ongoing reality.…

Some thoughts on how to get peace as part of the family of God and how to relate to the world, particularly as it relates to authority. What is our relationship to both those above us and those below us? Seeing how God works through the hierarchies of the world, that we may have peace with our fellow man in the midst of chaos, is the Christian experience that Jesus wants us to have.

Lunar Sabbath breaks 7-day Cycle - Origin from Babylon

The Lunar Sabbath is one such pitfall some can fall into. The idea is that if the new moon (which is the first appearing of the crescent moon after the dark moon, not the modern usage of the term 'new moon') is the first day of the month, then we count seven days and we get the Sabbath. The reason we aren't doing that is because we are trapped in the Papal Gregorian calendar. Simple, right?

The Bible tells us that God made man in His image. What is the significance of this for us?
A. Definitions of Image and Likeness
Gen 1:26-27 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

“For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to the Messiah.” 2 Corinthians 11:2
YHWH, our heavenly Father, is drawing all men unto Himself through the fellowship of His Son. YHWH knows that when we realize the magnitude of the gift He has given us in His Son as the “greatest dowry every paid” and the “largest inheritance ever received”, that “His goodness will lead to humanity’s repentance (Romans 2:4).
